The higher the performance of the processor, the higher the speed of the entire computer. The time it takes to complete tasks and the overall comfort of working at the computer depend on the performance of the processor. To increase this important parameter, you do not have to buy a more expensive and modern processor. You can also use a free method.
Necessary
Computer, Core 2 duo processor, basic BIOS skills
Instructions
Step 1
If the coolers are efficient enough, start overclocking the processor. Go to the BIOS menu of your motherboard (press the DEL, F2 or F1 key immediately after restarting the computer, which one depends on the motherboard model).
Step 2
On the main BIOS page, find the processor performance management tab. It can be called differently, the instructions for the motherboard in the BIOS section indicate exactly how.
Step 3
Overclocking the processor in most cases is carried out by raising the system bus frequency. In BIOS settings, this parameter is usually called CPU Frequency or CPU Clock. To accelerate in the appropriate field, simply raise the value to the desired height.
Step 4
The processor frequency is the result of multiplying the system bus frequency by a processor multiplier, and you can overclock it by increasing this multiplier. But on most processors, this option is locked. Only Intel's Core 2 Duo Extreme processors allow you to change the multiplier during overclocking.
