Step 1
Prepare the connection of the car radio to the PC. Use the unit to power the radio from the computer system unit. To do this, cut off the standard Din connector, which is intended for connecting to the car, strip the wires to connect them to the new pins. Prepare the wires for connecting the power wire of the radio, as well as for connecting the acoustics system.
Step 2
Take a modern ATX power supply with a capacity of about 300-350 watts, its current on the +12 V line should be at least twelve amperes. The current on the +5 line and the rest does not matter. For example, you can take a block of the InWin brand to connect the radio tape recorder to a PC. These blocks are distinguished by their reliability and quality. In them, the current value on the +12 V line is 18 amperes.
Step 3
Use the connector of the block, which is used to connect hard disks, to connect the car radio to the computer. Cut off the connector, solder it to the contacts of the car radio, later you can come up with an adapter so that the unit can be used in a computer.
Step 4
Make speakers from a car radio, for this buy any speakers, most importantly, not heavy. Next, take the box into which you will insert the speakers. It is better to make it out of wood, saw through the hole for the speaker with a saw and varnish it. Or take a cardboard box and cut a hole in it.
Step 5
Install the radio in it. To start the power supply without the motherboard, use the largest connector. Close the ground and the green contact, and then the unit will start up and apply voltage to all wires.
Step 6
To include these pins in the future, secure them with a folded pin. Now solder the wires and prepare the adapters to connect the radio to the PC. Connect the adapters and wires, fix the radio in the speaker and connect all connections.
