Xerox PE14 cartridges are used in many Xerox products as well as Samsung products. Therefore, the question of refilling them at the end of the toner supply is of great relevance.
Instructions
Step 1
Place the cartridge on a work surface with the photosensitive drum facing down. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the five screws on the cartridge cover. Then carefully unhook the five latches around its perimeter. Remove the top cover.
Step 2
Remove the two screws securing the developer roller cleaning blade. Toner accumulates on the edge of this blade during operation. If you do not clean it during refilling, fine lines may appear on the prints. Screw the cleaning blade back on after cleaning.
Step 3
Carefully remove the charging roller from its mountings and wipe with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use too much force during this operation and when reinstalling the shaft, otherwise the plastic mountings may crack.
Step 4
Clean the inside of the cartridge from toner residues using a special vacuum cleaner. If not, shake the cartridge thoroughly and blow with compressed air. It is best to use outstretched arms to remove toner residues, otherwise you risk getting your clothes dirty. It is better to direct the air stream away from yourself for the same reason. In the event that toner does get on your clothing, do not use hot water to clean it - high temperatures tend to fix the toner.
Step 5
Remove the plastic plug that covers the toner hopper. Replace the top cover of the cartridge by gently snapping it back into place.
Step 6
Select quality original toner for refilling. When using third-party consumables, gray background, ghosting, and other print defects may occur. You will need 70 to 130 grams of Samsung ML-1210 or Xerox P8E toner. Shake the toner can thoroughly before placing consumables in the cartridge. Pour toner into the hopper through the opening you left open. Close the cover.
