Perhaps, it is difficult to find a keyboard on the keys of which, instead of Arabic numerals, Roman numerals would be applied. However, you can write Roman numerals without difficulty on the keyboard of any computer or laptop.
Instructions
Step 1
To write Roman numerals, the following letters of the Latin alphabet should be used: I, V, X, L, C, D, M. These letters are used to write whole numbers in Roman numbering. I - 1, V - 5, X - 10, L - 50, C - 100, D - 500, M - 1000.
Step 2
The numbers of the first ten will have the following form: I - 1, II - 2, III - 3, IV - 4, V - 5, VI - 6, VII - 7, VIII - 8, IX - 9. Numbers 2, 3, 4 and 5 tens will start with X, XX, XXX, XL and stand for 10, 20, 30 and 40, respectively. To write any number from 10 to 50, add an additional digit from the first ten to the main digit (X, XX, XXX, XL). For example, 16 will look like XVI, 38 will look like XXXVIII, and 44 like XLIV.
Step 3
From 50 to 90, the main part of the digit will start with L. For example, 57 would be LVII, 73 would be LXXIII, and 89 would be LXXXIX. To write numbers from 90 to 99 as the base number 90, use XC, and then put the desired number. For example, 95 would look like XCV.
Step 4
To write down any large number, you must first put the number of thousands, then hundreds, tens and units. Thus, 3994 will be written as MMMCMXCIV, 1667 as MDCLXVII, and 572 as DLXXII.
Step 5
To avoid repeating one digit four times, the principle of addition and subtraction is used. So, if after the larger number there is a smaller one, then they are added, and if on the contrary, they are subtracted. For example XXXII: 30 + 2 = 32, XIX: 10 + 10 -1 = 19.
