Ping is a command for testing connections over TCP / IP networks. You may need this command if you want to know: is the server running, the IP address of the server by its domain name, check if there is a connection to the server, and much more.

Instructions
Step 1
Press the "Start" button, then select the "Standard" menu, then go to the "cmd" line and press the left mouse button. Thus, you have a command prompt opened.

Step 2
In the opened command line without quotation marks, write the following: "ping address of the site of interest". For example, if you want to ping "yandex.ru", then write the following, without quotes: "ping yandex.ru" and press "Enter".
