Step 1
Nero is available in several versions over the years. However, its latest releases are not necessarily the best and most convenient. Their main drawback is bulkiness, they try to take on the maximum functions related to viewing and recording multimedia files. If you are interested in burning files to a CD quickly and conveniently, it is advisable to use an older version of Nero - for example, the sixth. There is nothing superfluous in it, it copes with its tasks perfectly and can be downloaded for free on the Internet.
Step 2
Download and install the program on your computer. Start Nero StartSmart by clicking the shortcut on the desktop or by selecting the desired item in the list of programs: "Start" - "All Programs" - Nero - Nero StartSmart. In the window of the launched program, select the type of disc to be burned, usually DVD. Then select the menu item "Data" - "Create DVD with data".
Step 3
In the Nero Express window that opens, click the "Add" button and navigate to the folder with the video files prepared for recording. The most convenient way is to record files in *.avi or *.mpeg format, when you start such a disc on a DVD player, you will see a list of files and you can run any of them. After selecting the required files, click the "Finished" button, then "Next". Insert a blank disc into the drive, after checking it by the program, click the "Burn" button.
Step 4
A slightly different recording order is used for recording *. VOB files. After launching the program, click the advanced mode icon at the bottom of the program. Then select "Photos & Videos" - "Burn DVD Video Files". In the window that opens, specify the folder with the *. VOB, *. BUP and * IFO files. This will create a VIDEO_TS folder with these files. The finished project will only have to be burned to disk.
Step 5
If you need to copy a CD, start Nero in standard mode and select the menu item "Copy" - "Copy DVD". A window will open in which you must specify the source drive and destination drive. If it is the same drive, you do not need to specify anything, it will be selected automatically. Insert the CD to be copied into the drive and click the "Rip" button. After the original disc has been copied, you will be prompted to insert a blank CD, on which the copy will be burned.
