When choosing a laptop for a designer, display characteristics are key. It must have high definition, accurate color reproduction, wide viewing angles and large size. Display resolution must be at least WXGA + (1440x900). A device with a WUXGA display (1920x1200 pixels) would be most suitable.

An important role is played by the matrix on the basis of which the display is built. IPS screens have the best color rendering.

The second important parameter is the power of the laptop, where the most important condition is the size of the RAM and the availability of a high-quality graphics system (especially if the designer has to deal with applications such as 3DMax).

For the designer, the processor power of the system must be at least 2 GHz. Preference should be given to stones from AMD, because they are faster when working with graphics.

The size of the laptop also plays an important role. Despite the fact that powerful models with a large display will be quite bulky, you should choose the lightest one. The weight of a laptop is influenced not only by its filling, but also by its components. Using an external disk drive and hard drive can significantly reduce the weight of the device itself. The material from which the laptop is made also affects the mass. The lightest can be considered cases made of plastic. However, they are less effective in protecting your computer from damage.

The size of the hard drive in the system is of secondary importance to the designer, as is the battery life. If necessary, the designer can always use an external hard drive.
