The SID determination procedure may be required if you are having problems identifying multiple identical SID values on the network. To perform the operation of determining your SID, you will need to use the free utility PsGetSid.

Instructions
Step 1
Download the PsTools zip file developed and distributed by Sysinternals and unzip the PsGetSid.exe utility executable file.
Step 2
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Run" item to launch the "Command Prompt" tool.
Step 3
Enter cmd in the Open field and click OK to confirm the launch command.
Step 4
Specify the path to the downloaded file with the PsGetSid tool and enter the following value:
psgetsid computername into the command line text box to initiate your SID determination.
Step 5
Check out the syntax for the returned string:
psgetsid / computer [, computer [, …] | @file] [-u username [-p username] [account | SID].
Exit the PsGetSid application and command line tool.
Step 6
Return to the main "Start" menu and go to the "Run" item to carry out the procedure for changing your SID.
Step 7
Enter sysprep in the Open field and click OK to confirm the command. This action will open the folder at C: / Windows / System32.
Step 8
Run the executable file of the sysprep.exe utility and specify the desired action in the main application window:
- Enter System Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) - to clean up the system;
- Generalize - to change the SID;
- Reboot - to shut down the computer.
Step 9
Wait until the program finishes and restarts.
Step 10
Enter the required data for the country, region, date and time settings and the desired keyboard layout in the appropriate fields of the settings window and agree to the terms of accepting the license agreement in the request window.
Step 11
Make sure to change the operating system SID using the PsGetSid utility as described above.
