First of all, you should pay attention to the reliability of the connection of all wires. There can be several such connections, depending on the sound equipment. The main signal goes to one speaker (main), and from the main speaker the signal goes to the second speaker. To check if the wires are securely connected, connect any device that produces sound to the speakers. For example, an mp3 player or a cell phone. The player has the same connector as the sound card. The presence of sound while listening to the player indicates the performance of the speakers.

To check the performance of the sound card, after loading the operating system, launch the "Properties: Sounds and Audio Devices" applet. Click the "Start" menu, select "Control Panel".
