The appearance of sound cards immediately appealed to gamers, and now the quality of music played using a PC satisfies many music lovers. Sound quality directly depends on the sound card drivers. To install native drivers, you need to know exactly which sound card is installed.

Step 1
You can try to determine the model of the sound card without using any additional programs. Open Control Panel and launch Device Manager. In the group "Sound, video and game devices" there will be a line with something like this name: "Device with support for High Definition Audio". Right-click on it and select Properties.
Step 2
Click the Details tab. Select Hardware ID from the drop-down list. Copy the line from the "Value" field (the first, if there are several of them) into the Google search bar (or any other search engine). It is very likely that the search results will display not only the sound card model, but other useful information as well. Unfortunately, not all sound cards can be found exactly what was required.
Step 3
A more laborious, but also more reliable method requires the use of one of the programs designed to obtain information about the configuration of the computer. The most commonly used are AIDA64, SiSoft Sandra, PC Wizard, HWiNFO32, but there are many other lesser known utilities. Download a program (for example PC Wizard - ftp://ftp.cpuid.com/pc-wizard/pc-wizard_2010.1.961-setup.exe)
Step 4
Install it (you need administrator rights for this). During the installation process, you can, by unchecking the appropriate checkboxes, refuse to install the toolbar for the Ask.com search engine - its presence does not affect the functionality of the program. Run PC Wizard. If necessary, switch to the Russian-language interface: select "Tools", "Options" in the main menu, select Russian in the list of languages (on the right), click "OK" and restart the program.
Step 5
On the Hardware tab, click on the Multimedia icon. The sound card model will be indicated opposite the “Device Audio” element. Click on this item. The bottom Information window displays device manufacturer information and sound card specifications.
