An inkjet printer is a must-have in almost every home and office, and you need to refill its cartridges from time to time. Refueling at a service center costs money, so many people prefer to refill cartridges on their own, but they don't always know how to do it. The method of refilling cartridges varies from printer to printer, but there are general rules.
It is necessary
cartridge, syringe, ink
Instructions
Step 1
Epson printers
In Epson printers, the cartridges have a very simple structure, therefore, to refill them, you do not need to change the printhead and perform such complex actions. Remove the cartridge and cover the outlet with tape or tape. Take a syringe with a needle and pump out the remaining ink from the bottom of the cartridge. The hole through which you pumped out the ink needs to be sealed.
If you take out the cartridge for more than a minute, insert the spare in its place; otherwise the print head will dry out and you will have to buy a new printer.
Step 2
HP printers
In HP printers, it is more difficult to ruin the printer by misusing the cartridge due to its different design. The color cartridges of these printers are similar to those of Epson printers. To refill them, remove the top cap and use a syringe with three colors of ink in the three corresponding holes. Leave only the hole you are working with open. Seal the rest with tape. After finishing refueling, remove any tape and reattach the top cover, and then put the cartridge back into the printer.
HP black ink cartridges are more difficult to refill. Tape or tape all the vents on the cartridge, then manually drill the side for the refueling hole. Insert a syringe with ink into it and fill the cartridge, then tightly close or seal the filling hole. Clear the vents, and then release excess pressure from the cartridge by pumping air through the top process port to drain excess ink.
Step 3
Canon printers
Canon printer cartridges are easier to refill than all other models. The BC-20 cartridge is refilled through the vent located on the side of the cartridge. Insert the syringe needle into it and fill with ink. You do not need to glue the hole. Refill BC-21 cartridges differently: seal the ink outlets first, and then, as with Epson printers, remove the top cover to expose the refill ports. Use a syringe to fill each hole with the correct color ink.
Reattach the cover and install the cartridge into the printer. Alternatively, you can simply soak the ink into the membrane at the bottom of the cartridge, but this method is rather sloppy: excess ink can seep out.
