The cost of inkjet printer cartridges is quite high. It often accounts for nearly 80 percent of the cost of the inkjet printer itself. In this regard, the first place is given to the ability to refill the cartridge when the ink is used up in it. The ink that is compatible with this cartridge is generally very affordable. With the proper skill, the refilling procedure is quite simple and will not take much of your time.
Necessary
- - Computer;
- - Canon 140 printer;
- - compatible ink;
- - syringe.
Instructions
Step 1
First, find and buy ink suitable for your Canon 140 printer (compatible with your cartridge). You can check the compatibility online and on the ink packaging. Never try to refill a printer cartridge with incompatible ink, this can only damage your printing device.
Step 2
So, to refill a cartridge, place its printhead down on a sheet of absorbent paper or tissue. Carefully remove the sticker covering the cartridge cover.
Step 3
Remove the protective cap from the syringe filled with the desired ink color and insert the needle in its place. Gently insert the needle into the color-coded filling hole of the cartridge. There may be resistance when pushing the needle through, as the cartridge contains a special filler.
Step 4
Squeeze ink gradually into the cartridge until excess ink is in the fill port. To avoid mixing different ink colors, wipe away any remaining ink around the fill port.
Step 5
Cover the opening of the cartridge, through which the filling was made, with adhesive tape, making sure that the tightness is maintained. Carefully pierce the adhesive tape under the refueling holes. Now all that remains is to wipe the print head from dirt and ink with a soft cloth and install the cartridge into the printer.
Step 6
After installing the cartridge, be sure to carry out the initial maintenance of the printer cartridges according to the instructions supplied with it (alignment and cleaning of cartridges).
