Step 1
Purchase a TV tuner and set-top box first. They have two types of signal: digital and analog, which are reproduced through Windows Media Cente and become analog only.
Step 2
First, connect the TV tuner and set-top box through a splitter to the network, since all signal sources must be powered. Install a voltage rectifier to eliminate utility power outages. Also install an APS station to prevent emergency shutdown, as this will damage the settings.
Step 3
Connect the cable from the TV tuner or set-top box to the PC running Windows Media Center. When laying the cable, pay attention to its location. Lay it in such a way as to avoid pinching and penetration. If you have several computers on which you want to watch TV, then you need to connect a TV tuner and a set-top box to each.
Step 4
Now connect the infrared transmitter to the set-top box and to the computer that come with the TV tuner. It also has a remote control. The transmitter will automatically install the necessary drivers. Restart your personal computer for full operation.
Step 5
Go to Start and select Run. Next, find the command "TV signal settings" and program the system for various channels. You will be able to adjust the clarity of the "caught" channel and sound quality. You can also store all channels in memory under the digital values convenient for you.
