A keyboard is required to use any computer. With its help, the necessary information is entered, so the "keyboard" is that part of the computer system that most often fails. This is usually due to the fact that the tracks transmitting the signal become unusable. Take your time to throw away the non-working keyboard! She can be given a second life.
It is necessary
- - Screwdriver Set;
- - conductive adhesive;
- - cotton pads;
- - liquid for cleaning;
- - wet wipes;
- - red marker.
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the keyboard plug from the connector on your computer. In no case try to disassemble the included keyboard, otherwise you risk ruining your computer. If the keyboard is wireless, remove the rechargeable batteries or batteries from the keyboard.
Step 2
Remove all rubber plugs that cover the bolt heads from the grooves. Read the instructions. It should indicate the location of all body mountings. Also visit the online forum dedicated to computer technology. There you can find information on how best to disassemble your keyboard model. It will also be very helpful to read the advice and feedback from those who have already done this procedure.
Step 3
Carefully unscrew all screws holding both sides of the case together. Find the location of all the plastic clips. Open them carefully. Be very careful! If you miss a latch, it will break when you open it.
Step 4
Take out the keyboard buttons. Usually they are of two types - separate (each button is located in a separate cell) and in the form of an integral canvas (all buttons are a single surface). In the first case, you will have to pull out each button, and in the second, simply pull out the canvas. If the buttons are separate, then do not forget to take a photo of the keyboard before disassembling so as not to confuse them during assembly.
Step 5
Under the buttons there is a layer of translucent polyethylene, on which the conductive tracks are applied. Remove this layer carefully. Do not jerk it abruptly under any circumstances! Otherwise, you run the risk of disrupting the structure of the material, as well as tearing thin paths.
Step 6
Clean the surface. If the keyboard has been flooded with liquid, you must first thoroughly clean the surface of the plate. To do this, use cotton pads soaked in a special solution or wet wipes.
Step 7
Find the damaged sections of the tracks. If the damaged places cannot be found visually, then use a tester to check. It is necessary to find the disconnected sections with maximum accuracy.
Step 8
Carefully mark all identified gaps with a red marker.
Step 9
Take a special conductive glue and apply it to the breaks, grabbing some entire sections of the track on each side. Use a very fine brush or special tube for application.
Step 10
Let the glue dry. After that, reassemble the keyboard and check its functionality.
