Media Player Classic has been part of the basic software of the Windows operating system for many years, and in recent versions of this OS, along with Windows Media Player, is a convenient way to watch videos. With its help, you can not only watch movies, but also select the desired audio track.
Instructions
Step 1
To switch the audio stream, just right-click in the player window and select the "Audio" item in the context menu that opens. In the submenu, you can activate any of the available tracks. By default, they will look like this: Audio 1, Audio 2, etc. But in some cases, they can repeat the name of the video and differ in the identifiers of a particular translation. Left-click on the desired track to apply it for playback from now.
Step 2
If, when you try to select the "Audio" item in the context menu, you find this command inactive, you should open access to the choice of audio tracks from the program settings menu. To do this, click the "View" command "Settings" in the "View" menu and in the new dialog box for selecting options go sequentially to the sections: "Built-in filters", "Audio switcher". Check the box next to Enable Onboard Audio Track Switch, click OK, and restart Windows Media Player Classic.
Step 3
Perhaps, when you try to activate an additional track, only one audio stream (current) will be displayed in the menu. This means that the video file does not contain additional tracks. In this case, the file with the desired audio stream should be placed in the folder where the video is located. Moreover, its name must be completely identical to the name of the video file and differ from it only by the extension. After that, you must restart (close and reopen) the player for the changes to take effect.
