The players produced by Apple are multifunctional. In addition to downloading applications and games, music and photos, you can save text files to your iPod and view them. There are several ways to download text files to the iPod, either directly to the player or by saving them first to your computer.
It is necessary
- - iTunes program installed on the computer;
- - file converter program.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure you have iTunes installed on your PC, which is required both to sync music to your player and to download books, photos and applications to it. If you have not yet installed iTunes, then download the program from the official site and install, following the prompts of the installer.
Step 2
Connect the player to your computer via a USB cable. Search iTunes for the iBooks app and download it by clicking Free App or Download. If the player is not connected to a computer, then to download the application, you need to connect to a working Wi-Fi network, then find and open the Appstore in the player itself.
Step 3
When the Appstore opens, go to the Search tab and type iBooks in the field. When the app is found, tap it with your finger to open the page. Click on the blue Free rectangle button, then on the green Install. Enter the password for your iTunes account, if necessary. The Appstore will minimize itself by starting to download the app to your iPod.
Step 4
Download the books that you want to transfer to the player from the Internet to your computer. Select the books in the folder where you saved them by holding Shift and the left mouse button. If the books are arranged in a row, then just hold down Shift and click on the first and last book. If not in a row, hold down Ctrl and click on the books with the left mouse button. Copy by pressing Ctrl + C on your keyboard.
Step 5
Make the iTunes window active on your computer. Open the Books tab, if available, in the Devices section and paste the copied books into it by pressing Ctrl + V. The books will start downloading to the player.
Step 6
If the Books tab is not there, then open any of those that are (for example, "Music"), and paste the books there by pressing Ctrl + V. The download of the necessary books will start. The next time you launch iTunes, you will see the Books tab in the menu on the left.
Step 7
The books downloaded to the player can be viewed in the iBooks application. To do this, open it and click on the book. If you want to view.pdf documents, click on the "Books" rectangle at the top and select PDF. Pages are scrolled by clicking on the left or right side of the screen.
Step 8
Save the text from the Internet to Notes. To do this, connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot and open the browser installed on your player (Safari by default). Enter either the address of the desired site in the address bar or its name in the Google search engine.
Step 9
When the site with the text opens, hold your finger on the desired fragment for a few seconds. A black tooltip will pop up on the screen. Click Select All or Select. If you clicked "Select", then stretch the blue dots in the corners of the resulting light blue rectangle until you have selected the necessary text. When it's done, release.
Step 10
A hint will appear - click "Copy". After that, open "Notes" in iPod, click in the upper right corner "+" to create a new note, and click on any area of the sheet that opens. Hold your finger on it until the "Paste" prompt appears. Click on it and the text will appear. Then click Finish. The text will be saved and can now be read in notes.
