It is necessary

ADSL modem, network address of the modem, login and password for accessing the web interface of the modem

Instructions

Step 1

To reboot your ADSL modem, sometimes you just need to turn it off for a few seconds and then turn it back on. Find the power button on the back of the modem. Click it and wait 10 seconds. Then turn on the modem again. Wait for the necessary indicators on the front panel to light up and connect to the Internet connection.

Step 2

Sometimes it is not enough just to turn off the modem. Before turning off, you must unplug the Internet cable from the device. Then turn off the modem for 10 seconds, turn on and plug the cable back in. After the lights come on, you can start working on the network.

Step 3

If turning off the modem did not help and the problem persists, restart the adsl modem via the device's web interface. To do this, you need to open any browser and enter the network address of the modem in the address bar. The default device ip is 192.168.1.1.

Step 4

After going to the ip-address of the modem, a window for entering the login and password will open. By default, the username is admin and the password is admin. If the login and password data are not suitable, you need to find out these data from the network administrator or the person who configured your modem.

Step 5

In the web-based management interface for the modem, find the submenu that contains the command to reboot the modem. Usually the menu is located on the left. Select the Service, Tools, System or Managment menu item, then click the Reload or Restart button. In some models of modems, the restart button can be directly in the interface menu.

Step 6

Wait for the modem to reboot. This will turn off the front panel LEDs and make the web interface unavailable. After connecting the modem, the indicators will light up again, and you can continue to surf the Internet.
