Instructions
Step 1
Turn on your eMachines mobile computer and wait for the operating system to load. Turn on the internal Wi-Fi adapter. To do this, press the Fn and F8 (F12) keys. If after following this step, the adapter remains disabled, try another method.
Step 2
Press the Win key to open the Start menu. Right-click on "Computer" (Windows Seven). Select Properties. Go to the device manager by selecting the appropriate item on the left side of the working window.
Step 3
Expand the "Network adapters" submenu and right-click on the name of the required Wi-Fi module. Select "Enable". Write down the model of your wireless adapter.
Step 4
Visit the website https://www.emachines.ru/ec/ru/RU/content/drivers. Fill in the table provided. Please enter your mobile computer model. Select the operating system that is currently installed. Download drivers for the Wi-Fi module.
Step 5
Open the device manager and go to the properties of the built-in Wi-Fi adapter. Select the Drivers tab and click the Update button. Specify the path to the archive downloaded from the site. Reboot the laptop after installing the drivers for the Wi-Fi module.
Step 6
Wait for the operating system to load and open the Network and Sharing Center. Go to the "Manage wireless networks" menu. Click the Add button and select the type of network you want to connect to.
Step 7
Fill in the table that opens. Be sure to enter all the parameters correctly, otherwise the laptop will not be able to connect to the selected wireless access point. Check the box next to "Save settings" and click the "Next" button. Wait until the connection with the access point is established. Check if your network is working properly by opening a local resource or web page.
