Format is the defining characteristic of a laptop. The size of the screen, the ergonomics of the keyboard and the weight depend on it. All existing laptops are usually classified into three categories: small format (with a screen from 11 "to 13"), medium format (from 14 "to 16") and large format (from 17 "to 19, 1").
Small-format laptops are obviously the smallest and lightest, and therefore the most transportable. Finally, large-format laptops are the most massive and heavyweight models designed to organize a full-fledged workplace. Due to their heavy weight and massiveness, they are not very suitable for mobile use, but they are not intended for this. They are distinguished by the most comfortable ergonomic keyboard, similar to a desktop one, and a powerful configuration.
A separate type of laptop is ultrabooks, a kind of hybrid of a tablet and a superportable laptop that appeared on the market in 2011. Ultrabooks are ultra-thin devices with a screen diagonal from 13 to 15 inches, while having the functionality of a full-fledged computer. The most advanced ultrabook models are capable of boasting the longest battery life - up to 24 hours. These devices are more expensive than the average laptop.
