Wireless charging for smartphones already exists. They are equipped with models of many manufacturers. For example, Samsung, Nokia, Lenovo. But for some reason, this technology is not offered for laptops. When will this type of charging become available for these mobile devices?
Instructions
Step 1
The standard used for smartphones does not work for laptops. It only allows you to transfer 5 watts. There are more promising developments that allow you to transmit up to 10 W, but this is already the technological limit for today. And the laptop needs more. On average, a working laptop consumes 45 W, and you also need to charge the battery.
Step 2
In fact, today it is possible to charge a laptop from a solar battery with a capacity of 10-15 watts. This does not require an outlet. But in the full sense, this type of charging is not wireless. After all, there are wires connecting the laptop to the solar panel.
Step 3
With a high degree of probability, we can assume that for widespread use, a true wireless laptop charger will appear in 2015. In any case, this date was recently announced by Intel specialists. The new standard will be called Rezence and will provide the transfer of 20 to 50 watts of energy.
