iTunes is an application designed to store and play multimedia files, as well as sync with Apple devices. In the event of a system failure, you can restore both the program itself and its settings.
Instructions
Step 1
iTunes stores user preferences in the system folders of the operating system on your computer, so if you accidentally uninstall the app itself, just reinstall it. When launched, it will automatically restore all previously accepted settings. You can also use System Restore, which is available in the Utilities folder in the Windows Start menu. Specify a restore point prior to removing iTunes from the system.
Step 2
ITunes copies data from portable devices to your computer every time you connect them via USB. Thus, if your phone, tablet, or MP3 player has a glitch that caused data loss, just connect the device to your computer, launch iTunes, select the category of files you want to move (MP3 files, videos, ringtones, etc.)) and activate the "Synchronization" function. The files saved on the computer will be copied back to the portable equipment.
Step 3
To completely restore all data and system settings deleted on a portable device, use the iTunes restore function. By default, backups of the current system state are saved to your computer every time you connect a device. If you need to recover information, connect your phone, tablet or MP3 player and click the “Recover” button on the “Overview” tab in iTunes. When the restore is complete, your device will reboot. On the welcome screen, you will see the "Configure" message. Following the instructions of the system, configure the device at your discretion, or use a backup copy of the previously installed parameters. Please note that previously connected cellular services will be restored as well.
