Counter Srike is one of the most popular online shooting games. To be able to play over the Internet, you must either connect to an existing one, or install a game server yourself. In addition to installation, you will need to configure it to work correctly.

Instructions
Step 1
Go to the folder with the Counter Srike server installed, open the server.cfg file to configure the CS server. In the Hostname field, enter the desired server name. If you need to set a password for managing the server using the client console, enter it in the Rcon password field.
Step 2
In the Mp timelimit field, enter the number of minutes allocated for the card. Round start time (in seconds) enter in the Mp_Freezetime field. To enable friendly hit mode, set the value 1 in the Mp_Friendlyfire field. Set the duration of the round in minutes in the Mp_Roundtime field.
Step 3
Install, if necessary, the ability to play on the local network to configure the Counter Srike server, for this in the Sv lan field, enter the value 1, to disable the possibility, set 0. Enter your email address in the sv_contact your @ mail field. Next, enter the names of the files that will be launched automatically when the game client starts in the Exec field. Multiple filenames can be used here.
Step 4
Check if you managed to configure the CS server correctly, to do this, start the server using the line: hlds.exe, then to start the server in console mode, enter console, sv_lan 1, then, to start the CS mod, enter game cstrike, maxplayers “Enter the maximum number of players accepted by the server »map enter the name of the launched map port« Enter the port address that will be used by the server »ip« Enter the address where the server will be located ».
Step 5
To connect mods to the server, download Metamod from the link https://metamod.org/ (on the site, select the required operating system and click on the link with the file name), unpack the archive into any folder, copy its contents to the cstrike / addons / metamod folder. Next, open the cstrike / liblist.gam file using Notepad, correct the Gamedll line "Dlls / Mp. Dll to gamedll" addons / metamod / metamod.dll. Save the changed settings.
