Step 1
Go to the Joomla! Admin area. - through the administrative panel using your username and password. This data was registered by you when you installed the engine for the site, so find all the entries. Find the Installers item, and in it - Site Templates, or "Installation" - "Templates" if you are using the Russian version of the program.
Step 2
A window for installing a new template will open. Click the "Browse" button to point the program to the location of the new template archive file. Click on the "Download" and install button to start the process of downloading a new template. As a rule, it will take some time for all the template files to be completely copied into the hosting directory.
Step 3
Publish your new template. This procedure involves connecting a new template to the application. To do this, go to Site - Templates - Site Templates and select the template you just downloaded. If you have a completely different kind of engine installed on your site, read the instructions that are usually found in the archive of the entire package.
Step 4
Set the new template connected "by default". To do this, click on the "Default" button in the "Site Templates" section. You can now apply the new template when creating your pages. You can also change the admin panel template to your liking. To do this, find and download from the Internet a template for the administrator's control panel of the site, and load it into the program in the same way, only this time select the menu item "Admin templates". It should also be set as the default template so that the system recognizes this file as the main one. Then just restart your browser and see all the changes.
