BIOS settings can only be changed after a system reboot. If you are in a Windows environment, go to the Start menu, in the Shutdown window, click on the triangle. Press the button for a few seconds until the monitor turns off, then turn it on again.

There are two ways to enter BIOS settings on Sony Vaio laptops. Depending on the BIOS version, press F2 or F3 before loading the operating system. Sometimes the laptop does not have time to process the signal from the key, so you can try to press it several times. Step 3
When you do everything right, a blue window with white letters will open. This is the BIOS. Here you can set the boot order from the media, configure the network, sound and video cards, USB functions. If you need to disable or enable a device, use the Disabled and Enabled values.

It is possible to increase the clock speed of the processor and the speed of the hard disk on newer models. But if configured incorrectly, there is a chance that the laptop will stop booting due to a hardware error. Then there will be a need to knock down all the BIOS settings. Step 5
If you are installing an operating system, set the first media to boot to the one from which you are installing (DVD-Rom or USB stick) to boot. After the first reboot, set to start from the hard disk again.
Step 6
You need to exit the BIOS in the Save & Exit Setup item or by pressing the F10 key. When a window appears confirming your intention to save the changes, press Y - if you agree, N - if not.
