"BIOS" (Basic Input / Output System) - input / output system. "BIOS" is a special program that stores hardware settings and is responsible for its basic functions.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on your laptop. First of all, the system will check the motherboard, processor, RAM, video card, etc. At the end of testing, the computer's hardware configuration table will appear on the screen. Only then will the operating system start loading.
Step 2
To call up "BIOS", you must press a certain key or key combination immediately after the end of the self-test process. At this moment, an inscription appears at the bottom of the screen, for example: "PRESS F1 to enter SETUP". This must be done very quickly and, preferably, several times in a row (so that the command is probably "heard").
Step 3
Depending on the manufacturer of your laptop, the following keys or key combinations are possible to enter the BIOS: keys from "F1" to "F12"; "DEL"; "ESC"; "CTRL" simultaneously with "ALT" and "ESC"; "CTRL" simultaneously with "ALT" and "DEL"; "CTRL" together with "ALT" and "INS".
Step 4
Press the appropriate key or key combination. Welcome to BIOS!
