There are situations when, when playing a video file at a certain second of recording, it simply closes. Or a file that used to open and play without problems stopped working altogether. Of course, it's okay if you can download it from numerous Internet resources. And it is completely different if this is a file from your personal home library, where, for example, records are stored related to family celebrations or other events that are very important to you.

Instructions
Step 1
Fortunately, there are programs with which it is possible to recover damaged video files of almost any format. One of these programs is called All Media Fixer. Download it from the Internet and install it on your computer. The utility is free.
Step 2
Run the program. Study its interface carefully. Before you start fixing the file, you need to add it to the program window. To do this, select File from the program menu, and then go to the Add file tab. In the window that appears, specify the path to the video file that you want to fix. Click on it with the left mouse button, then from the bottom of the window click on the "Open" command. Now the video file is added to the program window.
Step 3
Next, pay attention to the toolbar, which is located at the top of the program window. Select the tool called Start check and fix by clicking on it with the left mouse button. Another window of the program will appear, where the process of finding problems and fixing the file will be displayed. Its duration depends on the type and capacity of the selected video file. In some cases, this process can take more than one hour.
Step 4
After that, a report on the work of the program will be published. The recovered file will be marked with a check mark in the program window. Go to the folder where the video file is located. Now there are two copies of it in that folder. The first copy is the damaged video file itself, and the second copy is the file that was restored by the program.
Step 5
Open the corrected file and see if the program was able to fix the errors. To do this, it is advisable to view the entire file. If it reproduces normally, without errors, then the restore operation was successful. Then you can delete the damaged copy of the file, as you will no longer need it.
