To determine which operating system is installed on your computer, you do not need to look for an installation disc. The system itself stores information about itself, and this information is available to the user.

Step 1
First you need to click on the taskbar (usually at the bottom of the screen) the "Start" button. In the list that opens, select the "Control Panel" folder.
Step 2
In the control panel, select the "System" component. A corresponding window will open, and in the tab that opens by default, there will be information about the type of operating system installed on your computer.
Step 3
It is also convenient to use the Windows Help and Support Center for this purpose. By clicking "Start" -> "Help and Support", we will get to the Center. Type the word "system" in the search bar. After the query results have dropped out, you must sequentially click the links "Getting information about the computer" and "Show general information about the system". As a result, a window with information about computers will appear on the screen, including system properties.
