It is always better to entrust the initial refueling of cartridges to the professionals of service centers, since it implies replacing or resetting its chipset, and this procedure requires certain skills and equipment.
It is necessary
- - programmer;
- - toner.
Instructions
Step 1
Lift the cartridge out of the printer and remove the outer bolts holding the component parts. As new ones appear, unscrew them too. It is best to do this on a covered surface so as not to lose small details. Pay special attention to the spring that is removed initially, be sure to hold it so that it does not get lost.
Step 2
When you unscrew all the fasteners needed to open the container, put on gloves. This is due to the fact that toner contains toxic substances that are dangerous to your health. Gently pull out the container and clean out any ink residues. Wipe it with a damp cloth and then dry. It is best to use a lint-free cloth if available. In any case, check its remains in the container, and, if any, remove them without fail.
Step 3
Clean the rest of the cartridge. Also wipe them with a tissue, remove any remaining toner from hard-to-reach parts by blowing out with a hairdryer or using whatever is convenient for you. Please note that there are no stains or lint residues on the elements of the cartridge, this will affect the print quality.
Step 4
Refill the toner cartridge, not necessarily completely - about 10 percent less. After that, reassemble the cartridge in the reverse order and tighten all available fasteners securely. Then shake the cartridge from side to side and install it into the printer.
Step 5
Print the first test pages. If you are refilling a cartridge for the first time, contact the service center specialists to reprogram the chipset. You can do it yourself, but this procedure requires certain skills and special equipment - a programmer, which may come with the cartridge. Each model has its own reprogramming scheme, which is detailed in the instructions for the device.
