Progress is moving forward every day, IT technologies are improving, and many things are becoming more accessible and simpler. Today there is no longer a need to call another country using a telephone, now it can be done via the Internet. To do this, you need to use the Skype program.
Instructions
Step 1
Before you start configuring the program, you must first get registered on the Skype network. When you start the program, a login window pops up, in which you will see the inscription "You do not have a Login?" When you click on it, a dialog box will appear prompting you to create a new account. Fill in the four fields here for your full name; Skype name and 2 times password. To proceed further, please confirm that you have read and agree to the Skype license and rules.
Step 2
In the next window you will need to enter your e-mail address, country and city of your residence. If you wish, you can check the boxes to receive mailing from Skype and enter the program at startup. Registration is over and now you just need to click on the "Login" button.
Step 3
To start chatting with another user, you must add him to the contact. It is quite easy to do this by clicking on the "Add Contact" button. To search, you must enter the user's full name, login or e-mail. The found person will be added to the contact list on the left side of the screen. When you right-click on its name, a pop-up menu will appear. Choosing one category or another, you can start a chat with the user, call him, find out more information.
Step 4
For normal communication in the program, you will also need to configure the video camera and microphone. Configuring a microphone usually consists in connecting it correctly and is carried out using Windows tools. Click on the "Start" button, select the "Settings" category, then - "Control Panel", in the window that appears - "Sounds of the audio device". In the new window go to the "Speech" tab and click the "Test" button. This is followed by the installation of the Audio Test Wizard. You need to follow the installation instructions to stop at the "Microphone test" window. Make sure the microphone indicator is moving, if not, check if the device is disabled in Windows. In the familiar "Sounds of Audio Devices" window, click the "Volume" tab and select "Advanced". Next in the "Options" menu go to "Properties". Find the microphone in the list that appears and check if there is a checkmark next to it. If it is absent, the device will not work.
Step 5
The camcorder is configured in the Skype program. Again go to "Tools", then - "Settings", then - "Video". Now select your webcam, check the box next to "Enable Skype Video", specify from whom you will automatically receive video, and who will watch yours. To test the operation of the camera, click the "Test Webcam" button.
