Step 2
Any peripheral device connected to the computer must be provided with an appropriate program. Usually, the drivers are installed automatically. If this did not happen during the first connection, check for a disc included with the device, and install the program yourself.
Step 3
After connecting, the headphones with microphone need to be set up. Click "Start", then "Control Panel" and the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. In the window that appears, you will see several tabs.
Step 4
Setting the quality of recording, playback of sounds through a microphone is done in the "Speech" tab. To adjust the microphone volume, you must turn it on and use the options "Speech recording", "Speech playback". Move away from the speakers if there is any abnormal noise in the microphone.
Step 5
Test the headphones with microphone in operation. Say something into the microphone - can you hear yourself on the headphones? If not, turn on the microphone for playback. To do this, in the right corner of the monitor, where the clock is, find the speaker icon. Double-click on it with the left mouse button and uncheck the "Off" box in the "Volume" box, where it says "Microphone". Then find "Options" or "Properties" and check the box for microphone gain. For communication in Skype, these settings are enough.
Step 6
If the device is selected for recording songs, take a look at the advanced options. To do this, check the box in the "Parameters" tab - a new button will appear - "Settings". Switch the checkbox from playing sound to recording and click OK. In addition, for recording, you will need special programs - audio editors. Pay attention to Adobe_Audition_CS5.5_v4.0.1815.
Step 7
Check the microphone recording level in the control panel. Select the Sounds and Audio Devices tab, go to the Speech tab. The recording level is adjusted by pressing the "Volume" button. Next, find the "Test" button - the "Audio Device Test Wizard" window will pop up. Adjust the volume scale with the corresponding slider. Check the performance of the microphone on the website
