Almost any movie can be downloaded from the Internet. If you have the correct codecs installed, there will be no problems with viewing. However, if you are editing a video, want to change it or create a simultaneous translation, you will have to recode the original file.

The *.avi container is the most popular and is supported by many players, both computer and consumer. But the compression in this container must be of a certain format, for example DivX, Xvid, mpeg 1, 2, 4, these are the most common formats, there are many others. To convert a video file format from one to another, you need special software - a video converter.

Video editors have the conversion function, such as: Windows Movie Maker, Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas, etc. Click "Export" ("Save on computer", "Save as"), specify the name of the target file and set the desired codec in the compression settings, resolution and bit rate.

If you are not very good at video parameters, use converters. The interface and the name of individual functions may differ, but the principle of operation is the same. Any Video Converter is one of the easiest programs to manage. It has a free version that can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website. It's elementary to work in it: add the desired video file, specify the quality (good, medium, low) and compression in the settings on the right. Click the "Start" button and wait until the translation into another format is completed. Similarly, you can convert movies to another format in TMPGEncoder, Xilisoft Video Converter, MPEG Media Encoder (converts files to mpeg format).
Step 4
Provided that you need to make a simultaneous language translation of the film, you will need to find the text of the original script or a subtitle file. Then translate from the original language into your native language. Record simultaneous translation, for example in Windows Movie Maker. Save your new project. If you want to add subtitles, use the video editors Pinnacle Studio, Sony Vegas, Ulead VideoStudio, MAGIX video deLuxe, Canopus Edius, Adobe Premiere or the same Movie Maker.
