The virtual keyboard allows you to enter text without a physical input device connected to your computer. This option is often used on a tablet computer. You can customize the onscreen keyboard settings using Windows Ease of Access Center.
Instructions
Step 1
To disable the option, launch the Accessibility Control Center. To do this, you can use the "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Ease of Access Center".

In the window that appears, click on the "Enable On-Screen Keyboard" option to activate or deactivate it. When this option is enabled, a text input tool appears, which is a panel with keys similar to keyboard buttons. To close this window, click on the close icon in the upper right corner of the application.
Step 3
If you are using Windows Vista, turning on the onscreen keyboard also activates the control option via the Windows notification bar located in the lower right corner of the system. Click on the on-screen keyboard button and click on the link "Control keyboard startup at login", and then uncheck the "Use on-screen keyboard" option. Save the changes made using the "Ok" button.
Step 4
If the keyboard boots every time the system starts, you can remove it from the startup list. To do this, open the Start menu and enter the query mscofig in the search bar for programs in the system. Select the result obtained, run the utility, and then go to the "Startup" tab of the system. Uncheck the box next to "On-Screen Keyboard" and click "OK" to save the changes.
Step 5
Ease of Access Center also offers a large number of options to activate modes that make your computer easier to use. In addition to the virtual keyboard, you can activate the "Narrator" option, which reads the text displayed on the screen and describes what is happening in the system. High Contrast Adjustment enables you to display items on the screen that enable people with visual impairments to use the computer. Deactivation of these options is also carried out through the "Ease of Access Center".
