Stable and correct operation of certain equipment in a personal computer is ensured by the presence of special files. There are many different methods for finding and installing drivers.
Instructions
Step 1
Manual installation of working files implies an independent search for drivers and their updating. Visit the website of the company that developed the device for which you want to install drivers.
Step 2
Find and open the downloads category. On certain resources, there are special forms that allow you to quickly find drivers for a specific device. Use this option.
Step 3
Download the found driver kits. Most often, they are presented in the form of an application, the launch of which automatically injects the necessary files into the system. If you downloaded an archive containing the files you need, use the manual installation method.
Step 4
Extract the files from the archive, first creating a separate directory for this. To do this, use file managers, for example, Kit Commander, or archiving programs.
Step 5
Open the Start menu by pressing the desired key. Right-click on the "Computer" column and go to the "Properties" item. Select the "Device Manager" link located in the left column of the launched menu.
Step 6
After displaying the list of equipment included in your personal computer, find the device marked with an exclamation mark. The presence of this icon symbolizes the absence of the required drivers.
Step 7
Right-click on the device name. In the menu that opens, select the "Update drivers" item. Wait for the launch of the new eye. Proceed to "Search for drivers on this computer".
Step 8
Check the box next to "Include subfolders" and click the "Browse" button. Navigate to the directory where you copied the files from the archive. Click "Next". Wait until the message about the successful installation of the drivers appears. Reboot your computer. Check the functionality of the equipment.
