Instructions
Step 1
Saving files. If you have any valuable information (photos, documents, music, etc.), save it to a USB flash drive or external hard drive. all old files after OS installation will be deleted from the system disk.
Step 2
Installation starts. Insert the Windows multiboot disc into the DVD drive of your computer / laptop. Ignore the autorun of the contents of the disk and just restart your computer. Before loading Windows, at the time of displaying system information and / or information about the motherboard, press the "Delete" key if you have a stationary computer, and "Delete" or "F2" if you have a laptop. On most laptops, press exactly "F2".
Step 3
BIOS setup. After completing the previous step, the BIOS will open. Use the arrows on your keyboard to select the "Boot" tab, then "Boot Device Priority". A list of installed devices will open. If the very first device is the one with the words "Hard Drive", "HDD", "Hard Disk" in its name, replace it with the one that contains "CD", "CD / DVD", "DVD", "Optical Drive ". Save changes and restart your computer, by default the F10 key.
Step 4
Selecting the version of the installed OS. After rebooting, a menu similar to the one shown in the picture will open. Select the item "Install Windows" / "Install Windows" with the appropriate version of the operating system.
Step 5
Selecting and formatting a disk. After selecting a version, copying of files can begin, after which a screen will appear with a choice of the disk on which you plan to install the OS. For Windows versions up to and including XP, you must select the system drive (C:), press the F key on the keyboard and confirm formatting (ATTENTION! All files from the C: drive will be erased!). If you have a version older than XP, then a beautiful window will open, in which you also need to select the desired disk and click the "Format" button.
Step 6
Installation process. For a version older than XP, you may need to select a Windows edition (Home, Professional, Ultimate, etc.), select the one you need. Next, the installation process will begin, which will last from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Step 7
Completion of the installation. After the installation is complete, the system will prompt you to select a computer name, set a password and select an Internet connection, if any. Follow the instructions on the screen, there is no problem here.
