Usually it is presented in the form of a numerical value, which can be used to track the user's actions. The main condition for highlighting this value is the presence of a network card.

Step 1
After installing a network card in the system unit, as well as installing drivers for this device, the current user automatically becomes available to an individual network address. The IP address of your computer on the network can be dynamic or static. These settings depend on the type of your modem and the provider that provides your computer with the Internet.

To determine your network address, you need to run the "IP Protocol Configuration" utility. Open the "Start" menu and select "Run" or press the key combination Win + R. In the window that opens, enter cmd and press the Enter key or the "OK" button.

In the black window that appears, enter the ipconfig command to determine your address and press the Enter key. For older operating systems, use the winipcfg command. Three options will appear in the window: "IP Address", "Subnet Mask" and "Default Gateway".

You have received the information you need, now you know your network address. For fun, you can view all the data about the current connection by returning to the command line with the ipconfig / all command. Press Enter to view the response of that command. Here you should pay attention to the MAC-address parameter, it is often used when passwording an Internet connection, for example, through a wi-fi router.

You can use a more user-friendly windowed interface than the "Command Line". Open your "Network Connections" and go to the properties of the current connection (right click on the icon, then select "Properties"). In the window that opens, go to the item "Status" and on the "Support" tab review the basic information. Click the Details button to view many more options.
