First, you need to find out the IP address of the computer you are interested in. This can be done using the MS Outlook mail program. When viewing emails using this service, right-click on your correspondent's email address.

In the drop-down menu, check "Properties" and go to the "Details" tab. In the Received: from line, next to the name of the message sender, its IP address will be indicated. If the letter was sent from a computer operating in the local network, you will see the network address of the gateway.

Many online services offer to determine the geographic address and other data of the computer by its IP. It should be borne in mind that they all provide information about the Internet provider that serves the computer. Go to the 2ip website www.2ip.ru and follow the link "Information about the IP address …"

In the "IP address" field, enter the desired combination of numbers and click "Check". The program will respond with information about the provider: legal address, geographic location, telephone, fax, etc.

Another well-known service can be found at https://www.ip-whois.net/ On the right side of the screen, use the "IP Information" button. Enter the network address you are interested in in the appropriate field and click "Learn IP Information". The program will display data on the geographic location of the provider, as well as a fragment of a Google map with the settlement in which the office is located.

You can install on your computer a free program called LanWhoIs, which will collect information about IP addresses and domains. Download it on the developer's site https://lantricks.ru/download/ and run it. Enter the appropriate combination of numbers in the "Address" field and click the "Request" button on the toolbar. You can save the result using the "Save" command in the "File" menu.

It should be borne in mind that many users take steps to hide their IP address. If the person you are interested in uses proxy servers or anonymizers, you will not be able to establish his location even approximately.
