Instructions

Step 1

To do this, we are looking for a drawing with some beautiful structure and a photograph. Open the photo using the menu command File -> Open.

Step 2

Change the contrast settings of the image to make our photo look more expressive. In the menu, go through the chain of items Image -> Adjustments -> Brightness Contrast. Now we change the settings until the image comes out more saturated.

Step 3

Now open the drawing of our choice, containing multi-colored lines, which will become the basis of our magical glow. Adjust the size of the picture to fit the size of our photo. To do this, select the Image item from the menu, where we select Image size. We set the desired extension, press the Ok button.

Step 4

First, let's use the blur filters. In the menu, select Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur, Move the slider to a Radius value of 10 pixels. Click Ok. We will end up with a blurry image.

Step 5

Next, apply the Render -> Lightning Effects filter, select from the list in the Style -> Flood Light window that appears. We assign a value of 80 to the Intensity indicator.

Step 6

Place the glow so that the corner from the top right is the brightest spot in the image. Using the menu command Select -> All select the picture. Copy it by pressing Ctrl + C.

Step 7

Open the photo and create a new layer by clicking on the Create a new layer button. Paste our drawing into the newly opened layer using the Edit -> Paste command. Select Screen from the list of layer blending styles.

Step 8

Use the Opacity slider to set the transparency. This will help us adjust the intensity of the glow. That's all. Now you know how to apply the beautiful glow effect in practice.
