RAM is the working area of the PC processor, one of the main elements of the computer. When you turn off the computer, the RAM is cleaned automatically, so before you turn it off, you should save the necessary changes to programs and data.
Instructions
Step 1
Cleaning up RAM improves the performance of your computer. To do this, in Windows XP there is a standard option to clear memory. It is a utility program, so it can be easily found through Start - All Programs - Standard - Utilities - Disk Cleanup. The system then estimates the amount of space that can be reclaimed on the local disk.
Step 2
If you do not need to delete a whole folder, then click "View files" and select what you can delete.
Step 3
If you want to "deeper" clean the memory of your computer, you can go to additional options in the "Disk Cleanup" window. It's better to delete your browser files here. You can, of course, clean the registry, but this is for professionals.
Step 4
If you have non-standard programs on your computer, then it is better to take a closer look at this process. The computer can unintentionally remove components of such programs or all of them.
Step 5
In addition to the standard disk cleanup option, there are many special programs for this. Recommend RegCleaner, Clean MemXP, Norton WinDoctor (it cleans the registry on its own), CCleaner and others.
