Sticky keys on the keyboard occur in the Windows operating system when there is a delay in pressing one key for more than five seconds. Having created a sticking situation once, for example, in a computer game, the computer will constantly emit an unpleasant warning sound when the keyboard boils later.
Instructions
Step 1
To turn off Sticky Keys, open the Windows Control Panel. Go to "Start" - "Control Panel" or go to "My Computer" and select "Open Control Panel". In the control panel that opens, switch to large or small icons (the "View" option). Icon names will be sorted alphabetically.
Find the "Ease of Access Center" shortcut and launch it by clicking once with the left mouse button.
Step 2
In the transition window, you will see two headings: "Make it easier to work with your computer" and "Show all options." Notice the second heading, and underneath it, look for the “Make the keyboard easier to use” link, and then click on it.
Step 3
In the next transition window that opens, find the subheading "Make typing easier" and uncheck the boxes next to "Enable Sticky Keys", "Enable Sound Switching" and "Enable Sound Switching by pressing and holding the NUM LOCK key for 5 seconds."
Step 4
Next, click on the highlighted link "Sticky Keys Settings" and uncheck all the boxes. After that, confirm the saving of changes by clicking "Apply" and "OK". You will be taken to the previous transition window, in which you will also need to confirm the saving of changes in the keyboard settings - click “OK”, after which you can close the control panel. Sticky keys are disabled.
