To open the refilling container of the laser printer cartridge, you must disassemble it. Each model has its own characteristics, but there is also a general scheme. Before refilling, prepare the surface so that powder residues do not fall on other objects.
Necessary
- - screwdriver;
- - toner.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have such an opportunity, download the service manual for your printer model, most likely, it will contain disassembly instructions. If you cannot find the manual, then carefully inspect the cartridge case and find the fasteners on the side that need to be unscrewed first.
Step 2
Disassembly is best done on a covered surface so as not to lose small parts. Remove the side covers that hold the sides of the cartridge body while holding it to avoid losing any springs that might pop out of the cartridge.
Step 3
Disconnect the springs and other mounting screws that are in your field of view on the housing. Remove the component parts of the cartridge in order of detachment. Please note that they should not be stacked next to small parts; they also need a flat surface.
Step 4
Try to be as careful as possible so as not to damage them. Open your cartridge container, which usually comes off the side. It is best not to make much effort for this. If you just need to remove the cover on your model, unfasten its latches at the edges. Also, the lid can be screwed.
Step 5
Clean the toner container and parts of the printer, and then put it in a clean container. It is best to fill in less ink when refilling cartridges than possible, about 10-15% less. This is due to the fact that in any case it is not consumed to the end, but settles on the parts of the cartridge and printer, thereby creating certain problems when printing documents.
Step 6
Reassemble the cartridge in reverse order. If you have no experience in refilling cartridges, do not perform this procedure yourself. Remember that ink used in printers can harm your health.
