How do I remove an old license? The latest versions of antivirus programs have self-defense against tampering, so disable it before removing the license. To do this, open the main window of antivirus software, for example, Avira. Enter the "Configuration" tab. Check the box next to the "Expert Mode" command. Then go to the "General" option and select the "Security" tab.

In the "Product Protection" section, uncheck the boxes next to all the commands and click Ok. Self-defense has been removed from the anti-virus program. Now it can be simply removed by going through the Control Panel to the "Uninstall Programs" section. But with Avira, you don't have to delete the program, but use the trial monthly version for an infinitely long time, setting a new license agreement once a month.

To do this, after removing protection from the antivirus program, delete the 80b8c23c-16e0-4cd8-bbc3-cecec9a78b79 folder. The folder is called that. As a rule, it automatically appears for each user of this software during installation. Now you need to install a new key. Go to local drive C. Open the Program Files folder, find the Avira files folder and open AntiVir Desktop in it. Find and run fact.exe in the list of files. This is the license wizard window. Check the box next to the Test Product command. Pressing "Next" all the time, we reinstall the license.

But if you want to install another antivirus program, then, as already mentioned, remove the already installed one. When you uninstall programs, some folders are still preserved. To completely remove them, you need to install special utilities.
