Deauthorization allows you to prevent data syncing from Apple devices on a specific computer. The de-authorization procedure is carried out through the appropriate section of the iTunes program, located in the "Store" section of the program.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the iTunes application by double-clicking on the desktop shortcut or by selecting the corresponding icon in the Windows tray. Wait for the program window to load. You do not need to connect your phone or tablet to your computer to deauthorize.
Step 2
Click on the "Store" menu located at the top of the window. Select the "Deauthorize this computer" option. If this parameter is missing, select a similar command in the "Add-ons" section. The location of this feature depends on the version of iTunes you are using.
Step 3
De-authorization is performed so that no one can use your computer to copy store items when selling, disposing or performing repairs. The operation should be performed if you want to increase the memory on your computer or replace the hard disk and other computer components. You need to follow the procedure if you want to reinstall the operating system. If you do not revoke authorization, one computer will have multiple permissions to edit phone settings, which may affect the stability of your account or iTunes.
Step 4
You can deauthorize all computers associated with the same Apple ID account. To do this, go to the iTunes Store, the link to which is located on the left side of the window. Log in to your account by entering your name and password. Click the "Account" button again and then enter your password and click the "View" button.
Step 5
In the "Information" section, click on the "Deauthorize all" button and confirm the operation. Remember that full de-authorization can only be done once a year. This button will only be available if you use more than 2 authorized computers to access your account.
