It is customary to refer to the elements and components of the operating system or applications that are involved in the interaction of the computer user with the software and set the parameters, procedures and characteristics of this interaction.
Instructions
Step 1
Use a data interface to transfer binary data in a computer system. Possible options are serial and parallel communication interfaces.
Step 2
Make sure that you know all the components of the user interface, including: - ways of displaying data and output information; - codes and display formats; - command modes, command language; - methods and devices for entering data; - dialogue, interaction and exchange of information between the system and the user; - feedback mechanism; - methods of performing a specific task; - technology of using the selected application and technical documentation.
Step 3
Familiarize yourself with a diagram of the standardized communications designed for the exchange of data between the various components of the operating system, called the programming interface. This interface is responsible for defining the required procedures, their characteristics, and pathways.
Step 4
Explore the features of the physical, or hardware, interface, which is the device responsible for converting signals. The physical interface also functions to transfer signals from one piece of equipment to another. The specific parameters of the hardware interface are determined by the set of electrical connections used and the parameters of the transmitted signals.
Step 5
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Control Panel" item to configure the basic parameters of the graphical interface of the computer.
Step 6
Select the System Properties section and specify the required parameters.
Step 7
Call the context menu of visual settings by right-clicking on an empty space on the desktop and select the "Properties" item.
Step 8
Select the options you want and click OK to apply the selected changes.
