Step 1
If you want to record a conversation on a mobile phone, then you need to install a program for recording conversations on it. It is important to understand that you can only install such a program on a smartphone or communicator, that is, on a phone with the ability to install various applications.
Step 2
Set the program to record on demand or to record conversations permanently.
Step 3
Make a call and the program will record it automatically. The file with the record will be saved in the phone memory or on a flash card. You can copy the recorded file to your computer and listen to it using an audio player.
Step 4
To record telephone conversations on a landline phone, you need to find out if a modem is installed in the computer. Older computers or laptops usually have them. A clear sign of the presence of a modem is a connector that fits a telephone cable plug on one side of the laptop or on the back of the computer's system unit.
Step 5
Buy a modem if your computer doesn't have one. Currently, a modem is a rather rare device, but such equipment can be found on radio markets and online auctions. For a regular computer, an internal PCI or universal USB modem is suitable. For laptop - only with USB interface.
Step 6
Connect the modem to your computer. It is recommended that you turn off your computer before connecting the modem.

Install the modem driver. The driver is usually supplied on disk with the modem. If there is no disk, the driver can be found on the modem manufacturer's website.

Install a program for recording telephone conversations.

Connect the modem parallel to the landline phone. Some modems or phones have two connectors for telephone cables - these are made specifically for parallel connection of the phone. If two connectors are not available, you can purchase a Y-adapter to connect your phone and modem to your phone line.
Step 10
Configure the modem and program. As a rule, the standard settings are sufficient for recording a telephone conversation.
Step 11
Record the conversation. The recorded file is saved on the hard disk of the computer. You can also listen to the recording using the audio player.
