The standard assignment of mouse buttons and keyboard keys is very inconvenient for some people. General user commands may not be necessary in a particular case. For example, the Caps Lock key has an extremely awkward position. Changing her assignment would be an excellent solution. However, the purpose of the buttons and keys is written in the OS registry. You can edit certain registry settings "manually". But this is very inconvenient for an ordinary user and is fraught with a violation of the integrity of the system. This remapping can be done using the free Key Remapper utility.

Instructions
Step 1
Download the free Key Remapper utility and install it on your computer. Run the program. A working window will appear on the screen.
Step 2
In the list box, double-click on the indicated field. You will be presented with a dialog box in which the replacement of the function of the buttons is set.
Step 3
In the first field of the window, you need to designate the button or key to be replaced. Click or click on the appropriate button. Its name will immediately appear in the field.
Step 4
Set the scope of the function acceptance to a reassignable button or key. To do this, add an exception using the corresponding button on the right. In the "New exclusion" window, install programs for which the reassignment function will not work or, on the contrary, will work. Give a name to the created exception and save it with the "OK" button.
Step 5
Set the new work mode in the drop-down list of the button remapping window. By default, the new button function always works. Optionally set the exception you created to apply.
Step 6
Select the button assignment. You can change the action of the button or block its function - check the corresponding box in the window.
Step 7
If you are replacing the function of a button or key, define a new action to take when you press it. Set the parameters for the triggering of the new function as required.
Step 8
When you have finished reassigning, save the changes using the "Ok" button. The first program window will reappear. Here you can set additional settings to the specified reassignment, pause the execution of new functions, delete the assignment, or set a new one for another button. To solve these problems, use the group of buttons on the right.
