Please note that the ability to quickly work on a computer does not come immediately. The more experienced the user is, the faster he or she can enter from the keyboard. Accordingly, the keyboard settings for a beginner and for an experienced person will differ significantly.

For comfortable work with the keyboard, it is necessary to set the correct character repeat rate and delay before starting the repeat. To do this, open: "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Keyboard". In the window that opens, on the “Speed” tab, set the desired values for the repeat rate - for a beginner, these parameters should be lower, for an experienced user, higher. The more experienced the owner of the computer, the shorter the delay before the start of the replay.

Pay attention to the default input language on your computer. After loading the operating system, see which language is indicated on the layout icon in the tray - Russian or English. If it is English, you can change it to Russian. To do this, open Control Panel again and look for Regional and Languages. On the Languages tab, under Languages and text input services, click the More button to open the Options tab. Select the default input language "Russian - Russian". Click OK.

You can choose a convenient option for switching the keyboard layout. To do this, in the same Settings tab, click the Keyboard Settings button, then Change keyboard shortcuts. Select the option you want and save the changes by clicking OK.

For convenient work on the computer, you also need to configure the mouse settings. Open Mouse in Control Panel, select the Pointer Options tab, and adjust the cursor speed by dragging the slider. Visually impaired users can additionally enable the "Show mouse trail" option. If you are using a laptop, you should also adjust the touchpad settings. Note that in the Mouse section, the touchpad settings will only appear if the required drivers are installed.

When working on a laptop or computer with an LCD monitor, be sure to turn on the ClearType option in the control panel, which significantly improves the quality of text display. Find the item "Setting ClearType", check the box next to "Enable ClearType". Then run the setup wizard and select the text display options that best suit you.
