Peers are those torrent users who are currently in the process of downloading files. They can not only receive, but also distribute the downloaded file in parts to other users.
Necessary
Internet connection
Instructions
Step 1
Run a search engine on your computer. Search for the ipfilter.dat file, including system folders and files in your search options. After the system finds the given file, open your torrent client and view the list of peers. Copy the IP addresses of the ones you want to disable.
Step 2
Open the file you found using any text editor (even a regular "Notepad" will do) and put in it the copied data about the addresses of the peers that you want to exclude from the distribution. Save your changes. Please note that the µTorrent client must be shut down before making any changes to the blacklist, as it will use this file directly in its work.
Step 3
Stop serving the file. To do this, select the distribution with the left mouse button and pause in the top menu of the torrent client. If necessary, block the distribution on the server where the link to download the torrent file is posted. To do this, you must be the author of the distribution or the moderator of the section.
Step 4
Open your µTorrent program and left click on the distribution you want to disable peers for. At the bottom, you will see an additional panel with several tabs, select the appropriate one among them. Select them using the mouse button and the Ctrl key.
Step 5
Press the delete key, after which they will not be able to download your files. Also, in some versions, you can disable it from the context menu when you right-click on the selected peers, or from the menu of the torrent client itself. These actions are not always available from standard torrent programs, so the best way is to add peer IP addresses to the black list, as described in the first paragraph, or use an alternative program.
