There are several ways to start installing the operating system. Inexperienced users often start it from the desktop. This often leads to the fact that the old OS is not removed, and the new one is simply installed over the old one. As a result, the user gets two operating systems installed on the same hard disk partition. Much more correct is to start booting the OS from the BIOS.

Instructions
Step 1
Turn on your computer. Immediately after that, press the Del button on the keyboard. Instead of turning on the computer normally, you will find yourself in the BIOS menu. If you are using a laptop, there may be other options instead of the Del key. You can find out this information in the manual for the laptop or on the official website of the manufacturer.
Step 2
In the BIOS, using the arrows on the keyboard (the mouse will be inactive), select the Boot Device section, and in it - the number 1. Press Enter. Install the CD-ROM from the list of suggested devices. Next, in the main BIOS menu, select Exit and press Enter. After that, a dialog box will appear asking you to save the settings. In this window, select Save and Exit. The computer will restart.
Step 3
Insert the operating system disc into the optical drive of your computer. It must be bootable, otherwise its download will simply not start. If the autorun disk window appears, close it. Reboot your computer. Now, when you turn it on, the operating system will start automatically loading. But a situation may arise when the message Press any key appears on the screen. In this case, to activate the boot disk, you need to press any button on the computer keyboard. Wait for the first dialog box to appear. Install the operating system on your computer according to the wizard's prompts.
Step 4
Next, you need to return the settings back, since the presence of any disk in the drive when turned on will slow down the computer's startup. After the operating system is installed, go to the BIOS menu again, but this time in the Boot Device section, set your hard disk as the first source of computer boot (number 1). Save the settings when exiting BIOS. The computer will restart. Now it will turn on normally.
