Necessary

  • - ISO File Burning;
  • - an image of the installation disk.

Instructions

Step 1

Select the program with which you will create a bootable disk. If you are only considering free utilities, then use the ISO File Burning program. Download and install this program.

Step 2

Download the ISO file, which is an image of the Windows installation disc. Be sure to check that your computer is compatible with the selected operating system.

Step 3

Insert a blank disc into your DVD drive and launch ISO File Burning. Select the minimum write speed for the "blank". Click the "Path to ISO" button and specify the recently downloaded image file. After preparing the settings, click the Burn ISO button and wait until the data is copied to the DVD.

Step 4

Now restart your computer and hold the Delete button. Wait for the system board (BIOS) menu to open. Open the Boot Options submenu. Find Boot Device Priority and open its contents.

Step 5

Highlight the First Boot Device field and press Enter. In the menu that opens, select Internal DVD-Rom and press Enter again. Press the Escape button several times to return to the main BIOS menu. Highlight the Save & Exit field. Press the Enter key and then the Y key.

Step 6

If you failed to enable autoload from the DVD drive through the BIOS menu, then after restarting the computer, hold down the F8 key. After a while, a menu should appear with a list of available devices. Highlight Internal DVD-Rom and press Enter.

Step 7

Wait for the message "Press any key to boot from CD (DVD)" to appear on the display. Press an arbitrary key on the keyboard and wait for the Windows setup program to start.
