Due to NTFS errors on the hard disk, sometimes the Windows operating system is unable to delete some folders on its own. In this case, the operating system notifies the user of an error, usually with a code like 0x00000000.

Step 1
Such folders are, of course, subject to deletion. The first thing to do is to check the folder for viruses, and if there are any, eliminate it. After that, you need to try to delete all files inside the folder, and only then the folder itself. Files that were previously in the directory must be erased from the recycle bin.
Step 2
If even an empty folder cannot be deleted, try changing any one character in its name. Right-click on the folder icon and select Rename from the context menu, then enter the new changed name. Then try deleting the folder again.
Step 3
If you have done the operations described above, but the folder has not been deleted, use the free Unlocker utility. This program allows you to process files and folders locked to the user. After installing Unlocker, click on the folder to be removed, right-click, select “Unlocker”. In the program dialog you will see a list of system processes that prevents the folder from being deleted. End these processes and then delete the file.
Step 4
Unlocker is able to delete files and folders that are used by another application, as well as access to which is denied or denied. Unlocker also works when the disk is full or write protected, when the file is in use by another program, and when directory sharing is broken.
